Native Hawaiian Coordinator, Hui ʻĀina Pilipili: Native Hawaiian Initiative
I am from Waimānalo, Oʻahu and the first in my ʻohana to graduate from college. I graduated with a BA Hawaiian Studies and a MEd in Educational Administration, with a focus in higher education. I work in the College of Social Sciences as the Native Hawaiian Coordinator for Hui ʻĀina Pilipili, the College's Native Hawaiian Initiative. My work focuses on recruiting more Native Hawaiians into our undergraduate and graduate degrees, supporting and developing new programs and partnerships for our departments and college across the UHM campus and with community partners.
